Achieve ABA

Your questions deserve answers.

If you’re wondering whether your child has autism, the uncertainty can feel heavy. An evaluation is the first step — and we’re here to help you take it with confidence. By partnering with As You Are, we fast track the process so you get answers quickly and can begin therapy.

Why getting a diagnosis matters

A diagnosis isn't a label. It's a door.

For families with children who may have autism, an official diagnosis is also what opens the door to ABA therapy covered by insurance. Without it, access to support is limited. With it, your child can begin building the skills they need to thrive. The earlier you know, the earlier help can begin — and that makes a real difference.

A fast track to support

Once your child has a diagnosis, we handle the insurance authorization and get therapy started, fast.

Step 1

Schedule an evaluation

Start by reaching out. We’ll connect you with a licensed evaluation specialist and get your child’s appointment on the calendar quickly. Most families are seen within 1–2 weeks.

Step 2

Parent interview

A clinician will meet with you virtually to talk through your child’s development, your daily experience at home, and the specific behaviors or patterns you’ve noticed.

Step 3

Observation and assessment

Your child is observed through structured activities — simple things like play, communication prompts, and social interactions. The specialist uses this time to see how your child responds naturally, in a comfortable setting.

Step 4

Receive your results

At a final appointment, the specialist walks you through what they found in clear, plain language. You’ll have the chance to ask any questions you have. If your child receives an autism diagnosis, we’ll help you take the very next step toward therapy.

FAQ

Questions about the evaluation process

Does my child need a diagnosis to receive ABA therapy?

Yes — an official autism diagnosis is required for insurance to cover ABA therapy services. It’s the essential first step, and it helps us build a therapy plan that’s tailored to exactly who your child is.

The process typically involves two to three appointments and can be completed within one to two weeks. This is significantly faster than many traditional evaluation waitlists, which can stretch for months.

Many insurance plans, including Medicaid, cover autism evaluations. We’ll help verify your child’s benefits before the first appointment so you’re not caught off guard.

If your child receives a diagnosis, we can get started. We’ll begin insurance authorization, schedule an assessment, and put together a therapy plan — so your child can start building skills as soon as possible.

Not at all. We work with children from early childhood through the teen years. No matter where your child is right now, there’s real progress to be made.
